A Considered Approach to Employment Documentation
Verithos was set up to address a practical gap in the Malaysian market — the absence of well-structured, plain-English employment policy templates that HR teams can actually work with before involving their advisors.

Our Story
How Verithos Came About
Verithos was founded in Kuala Lumpur by a group of HR and organisational development practitioners who had spent years working alongside legal advisors on employment documentation projects. The recurring observation across those engagements was that organisations often arrived at the advisory stage with poorly structured, inconsistent, or outdated policy documents — making the professional review process more time-consuming and expensive than it needed to be.
The response was straightforward: produce a well-structured, plain-language starting set that HR teams can use to prepare their documentation before routing it to qualified advisors. The goal was never to replace professional input — it was to make that input more productive by ensuring the raw material was coherent and complete.
The template library was developed over several months, drawing on the documented practices of organisations across multiple sectors in Malaysia. Each template was written with the end-user in mind: the HR officer or operations manager who needs to understand what a policy is for, not just fill in the blanks.
Since then, Verithos has expanded its offering to include structured adaptation workshops and full policy library refresh engagements, allowing organisations at different stages of their documentation journey to find a programme that fits their circumstances.
Mission
To give Malaysian HR teams a well-structured, understandable starting point for employment policy documentation — reducing the friction between internal drafting and formal advisory review.
Vision
A standard where every Malaysian business, regardless of size, enters its advisor conversations with documentation that is already coherent, consistently styled, and ready to be formally assessed.
Values
Clarity over complexity. Honest scope — we do not overstate what our materials do. Respect for the qualified advisors our clients work with. And the belief that good drafting is worth paying attention to.

How We Work
Our Operating Standards
Plain-Language Standard
All template sections are written to be understood by the HR generalist, not only by someone with a legal background. Where technical terms are unavoidable, they are briefly explained in the commentary.
Scope Clarity
Every engagement begins with a written scope document. We do not expand the scope mid-engagement without a separate written agreement, so clients always know what is included.
Data Handling
Client documents and internal information shared with Verithos during an engagement are not retained beyond the engagement period. A brief data handling note is included in each engagement agreement.
Material Currency
Template packs are reviewed periodically. Where the base materials are updated within the six-month window after purchase, clients receive the revised version without additional charge.
Advisor Respect
Verithos materials are framed explicitly as working documents for advisor review. We do not position ourselves as a replacement for qualified legal or HR advisory input.
Consistent Output Format
All deliverables follow a documented house style. This means the documents your team receives are internally consistent and presentable to stakeholders without additional formatting work.
Background
Employment Policy Documentation in the Malaysian Context
Malaysian businesses across sectors face a common challenge when building or refreshing their employment policy libraries: most off-the-shelf materials either originate from other jurisdictions or are written primarily for a legal audience. HR practitioners and people managers often find themselves working from documents they do not fully understand, adapting them in ways that introduce inconsistency or omit important structural elements.
Verithos addresses this by producing documentation that is written for the HR team first. Each template is structured to cover the practical areas a policy in that category should address, with section-level commentary explaining the purpose and typical content of each part. The intent is that the team can work through the template meaningfully before it goes to their advisors — reducing the advisory time spent on foundational issues and allowing that time to be spent on substantive questions.
The workshop and programme refresh offerings extend this philosophy into a facilitated setting, where the Verithos team works alongside the client's HR and operations staff to improve the clarity, consistency, and internal alignment of their existing documentation. These engagements are not training sessions in employment law — they are structured working sessions focused on the craft of writing and organising policy documents well.
Verithos operates from Kuala Lumpur and works primarily with Malaysian-registered organisations across professional services, technology, manufacturing, and retail sectors.
