3. Third-Party Cookies

4. Cookie Duration
Session Cookies
These exist only while your browser is open. They are deleted automatically when you close your browser tab or window. They are used for things like maintaining your navigation state within a single visit.
Persistent Cookies
These remain on your device after your browser is closed, up to a defined expiry date. They are used to remember your preferences across visits. Typical durations range from one month to two years depending on their purpose.

6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

- Open Chrome and click the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
- Select Settings, then Privacy and security.
- Click Cookies and other site data.
- Choose your preferred setting — block third-party cookies, block all cookies, or clear on exit.
- To delete existing cookies, click See all site data and permissions and use the delete controls.
- Click the hamburger menu and select Settings.
- Go to Privacy & Security.
- Under Enhanced Tracking Protection, choose your level.
- Scroll to Cookies and Site Data to manage or clear stored cookies.
- You can also add exceptions for specific sites using the Manage Exceptions option.
- Open Safari and go to Preferences (or Settings on macOS Ventura and later).
- Click the Privacy tab.
- Check Prevent cross-site tracking to limit third-party cookies.
- Click Manage Website Data to view or remove stored cookies by site.
- On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Safari > Privacy & Security.
- Click the three-dot menu and select Settings.
- Go to Cookies and site permissions.
- Click Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Toggle Block third-party cookies if preferred.
- Use See all cookies and site data to delete cookies from specific sites.
Most mobile browsers offer cookie controls in their settings menus. On Android, look under the browser's Privacy or Site settings options. On iOS, Safari settings are found under Settings > Safari. Third-party browsers on mobile (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) have similar options accessible via their in-app settings menus.
